Surface Anchors

I had the opportunity to pierce Mavrick at the InkFest Live Tattoo Convention this past May. I took this photo of the Micro-Dermal Anchor i did on him and i started editing it and i liked the way it turned out so i thought i would share. He gave me a copy of the cd and i like it but dont take my word for it. Check it out for yourself. Hope you all enjoy.

It’s been about 4 or 5 years if i remember correctly since ive done my first Micro Dermal Anchor and so far so good in my opinion. I thought it would be nice to get some photos together of these hard to heal piercings. This set of photos is a collection of one of my favorite pieces i did on a client of mine. She has had them for over 2 1/2 years and they are healed great. However i will point out a few of them did rise up .5mm and are not totally flush against the skin. I guess some things are unavoidable.

Now to explain a few things. The chest anchor has been there for 1 1/2 years so its fairly new.. Or newer then the back anchors. Unfortunately the 2 side anchors on the chest had to be taken out due to irritation from shirts and such she had me remove them cause they were just annoying. Also, the chest anchor did raise about a millimeter so i did a anchor transplant and swapped the jewelry out for a lower rise anchor now there is no snagging and a lot more comfortable for her.

The back has been healed and doing great for some time now. So far so good as i say with anchors and surface piercings they could decide to reject for any reason so only time will tell.
